North and southbound traffic on Norwich Ave. is still blocked off after an earlier crash in Woodstock. The lone occupant was taken to hospital by paramedics after the jaws of life were used to extract the elderly man.
WOODSTOCK - A single vehicle crash in front of the Heart FM Studios on Norwich Ave. is currently under investigation after an earlier crash around 8:00 a.m. this morning.
Witnesses believe the driver and lone occupant may have had medical distress as he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree going at a high rate of speed traveling southbound on Norwich Ave.
Oxford County Paramedics, Woodstock Police and Woodstock Fire were all quick to the scene. The jaws of life were used to extract the elderly man from the driver's seat. Woodstock Police say the driver has suffered series injuries and has been airlifted to hospital.
No other details have been released at this time. Any witnesses should contact Woodstock Police.
