Shoppers Drug Mart has launched it's LOVE YOU fundraising program and all of the proceeds raised in Oxford County will be going to Ingamo Homes.
WOODSTOCK - Shoppers Drug Mart is doing it's part to help women and children affected by the pandemic.
It has launched it's LOVE YOU fundraising program and all of the proceeds will be going to women's shelters across the country. All of the money raised in Oxford County will be going to Ingamo Homes.
Women have been majorly impacted during lockdowns and the economic uncertainty of COVID-19. More than 50 percent of people who lost their jobs due to the pandemic are women, left in unsafe conditions due to economic and housing insecurity. COVID-19 continues to fuel violence against many women in Canada making it very important to donate to the LOVE YOU fundraising program.
Diane Harris, the Executive Director for Ingamo Homes, says even the smallest donations will make a difference in our community.
"As we continue to face the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to see increased demand for our services as well as operational and fundraising challenges due to safety protocols for COVID-19. With the LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart fall fundraising program happening now on behalf of Ingamo Homes, community members can make a real impact for local women through donations of any size."
You have until Friday November 5th to donate to the cause. All you have to do purchase one of the LOVE YOU icons and it will be put on display on the donation tree in the store. You will receive a leaf icon for a $1 donation, a butterfly icon for a $5 donation, an apple icon for a $10 donation or a bird icon for a $50 donation.
