Locals allowed to see how many registered sex offenders lived within their postal code.
ONTARIO -- Oxford County residents can now get a better idea of how many sex offenders are living in their postal code.
After a six year battle between Global News and Ontario's Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, the Supreme Court of Canada ruling has made the information available as a result of the access to information battle.
The data provided to Global News however dates back to 2008 when the original access to information request was made.
When it comes to Oxford County, Woodstock appears to have the highest concentration at 48 for people living within the N4S postal code. The Town of Tillsonburg with a postal code of N4G had 20 and Ingersoll with a postal code of N5C had 17.
