Oxford OPP have responded to several collisions today including a jacknifed tractor trailer on the 401 and a head on collision on Highway 59 this morning.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP are reminding everyone to slow down and drive to the conditions this evening.
Already police have responded to several collisions today including a head on collision on Highway 59 this morning. Constable Ed Sanchuk confirmed that minor injuries were associated with that crash.
Police also responded to a couple of jacknifed tractor trailers this morning. The first one was on the 403 in Brant County and another one was on the 401 in Oxford County. Police have also responded to several calls about people going into the ditch.
Sanchuk says they need drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions.
"Simple reminder for everyone to slow down, take your time, you don't have to do 100 km or 80 km in the 80 km/h zone. For the people travelling behind that may become impatient, do me a favour, take your foot off the gas pedal, you aren't going to be able to stop on a dime."
Sanchuk says people are driving today like it's 20 degrees and sunny.
