An Otterville resident and former part time police officer has announced he's running for Ward 1 in Norwich Township.
NORWICH- Otterville resident John Scholten has been actively involved in the community. The former General Manager of Scholten's Farm Equipment and Agri Truf, Equipment services, served on the Rehoboth Christian school board for 9 years as a secretary.
Scholten recently retired from his job managing 127 employees and says he has the time to dedicate to this position.
"I have the time, I'm retired- I have the time to put forth my past experience and my abilities related to my work which I retired from which was as General Manager of Scholten's Farm Equipment..."
Scholten said his former occupation as a General Manager had him involved in the 'financial' and 'budgeting.' He says he can apply these skills to a position on council.
Scholten says he is only willing to make one promise, "I can promise that I will use all my ability, my past experience, my business savvy and my people skills, I will use them to the best of my ability..."
