Junior D teams will get a taste of Jr. C hockey this season. With a coming merger between the two leagues, D teams will be taking on a C opponent this year. The defending D Champion Thamesford Trojans will play the Norwich Merchants twice this season, home and away. It's the same thing between Woodstock and Tavistock. And there are other matchups throughout the leagues: Aylmer vs Lambeth, New Hamburg vs Wellesley, Paris vs Ayr, Simcoe vs Dorchester. The other change this year in the Niagara East division, is the Caledonia Corvairs have folded up shop, and the Jr. D St. George Dukes are making the transition to Jr. C a year early.
