While you're travelling this holiday season, Norfolk O-P-P are reminding drivers to pay attention on the road.
NORFOLK COUNTY - Norfolk County OPP is urging the motoring public to be alert, as thousands of motorists will once again be on the roads celebrating this Christmas holiday.
Norfolk County OPP is hopeful that this holiday season will be a safe and joyous one for everyone.
OPP are asking that everyone drive safe and sober and obey all the rules of the roads including wearing your seat belt at all times.
Drivers are also encouraged to take numerous breaks if travelling long distances to ensure they are well rested.
Norfolk OPP Inspector Joseph Varga says it's important all drivers pay attention while on the roads.
"All of us have a part to play in everyone's safety this Christmas and holiday season. Every motorist travelling to see loved ones; need to be aware of their surroundings at all times and to put all distractions away. Let's make sure that this holiday is spent making great memories and those that are not marred by tragedy."
