Norfolk OPP uncovered about 100 rusty nails along the Port Dover beach shoreline yesterday.
PORT DOVER - Norfolk OPP are investigating after they uncovered about 100 rusty nails on the Port Dover beach.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says multiple beachgoers contacted OPP yesterday, after they found the nails along the shoreline.
"The concerned parents and concerned people that were locating these nails indicated it looked like someone had deliberately placed those nails along the shoreline. I am hoping that's not the case. If someone has any information surrounding this incident they're being urged to contact us so we can clarify what has happened down there."

Sanchuk says you should be extra cautious if you are planning to visit the Port Dover beach.
"There was over 100 nails collected, we didn't locate any other nails but there could still possibly be more there. So use your due diligence, put your safety as a priority and be aware that there my possibly be nails in the sand."
