Zorra Councillor will speak at a symposium that will look at ways to maintain and protect rural schools.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Residents of Oxford County are invited to a Rural Education Symposium in North Middlesex.
Zorra Township Ward 3 councillor Marcus Ryan will be one of the presenters ar the Symposium. He tells Heart FM this is an important event for anyone with an interest in maintaining and protecting rural schools.
"Really anybody who is interested in defending the rights of rural communities, single school communities to keep their schools and our interested in constructive ideas about how to help school boards and the province to make cost effective changes to keep those schools open in rural and small town Ontario. That's what the whole symposium is about, is to try and share constructive ideas to keep these schools open and educate students in their communities in the agricultural sector and small town communities in Ontario."
The keynote speaker will be Doug Reycraft with the Community School Alliance. It's all happening tomorrow from 9 am to 2 pm at the North Middlesex Community Centre in Parkhill Ontario.
