Police say suspects entered a home on Stage Road in the middle of the night, assaulted the owner and stole several valuables.
BURFORD - Brant OPP are investigating after a robbery in the Village of Burford.
Police were called on Monday to a home on Stage Road. The OPP West Region Criminal Investigations were called in to help. Police say suspects entered the home in the middle of the night, just before 3:00 a.m, assaulted the owner and stole several valuables. The owner of the home was injured in the altercation.
Police believe this was an isolated event and there is no reason to believe there are any public safety issues.
Police are asking for assistance from the public to identify and locate suspects in this case. If you were in the Stage Road area west of Burford and saw any suspicious people or suspicious vehicles please contact the County of Brant Criminal Investigations Unit at 1-888-310-1122.
