The first annual HeartFM/Crimestoppers Road Rally went off without a hitch.
A few people got lost, arguments were to be had, but all in all everyone had a great time at the first ever HeartFM/Crimestoppers Road Rally.
9 teams ventured out into the course across Oxford. The event was set up like a huge scavenger hunt and each time was given clues to reach their next destination. Jacqueline Korevaar and her daughters won the Road Rally collecting 340 out of a possible 455 points and only getting lost once.
Jan Hauck with the CrimeStoppers Board of Directors tells Heart FM one of the questions they asked participants was what is the strangest item in your car right now.
"They had frying pans, muffin tins, stove but for sure the most interesting was a ghoulish mask, it was a mother and two daughters on that particular team, the one daughter said to her mom, why do you have this in your car from Halloween, she said oh no that's not from Halloween dear that's from the wedding."
The event raised a couple hundred dollars for CrimeStoppers and talks are already in place for next year.
