Around 300 workers at Rieter Automotive in Tillsonburg have gone on strike. CAW Local 1859 President Fran Ward says the workers walked out just after 2am Friday. She says safety and wages are main issues in the dispute. Negotiations on a new contract started in April. Workers hit the picket line after both sides failed to reach a deal by the midnight deadline. Rieter makes insulation for the auto industry.
