Remembrance Day ceremonies will be taking place across Oxford County today.
OXFORD COUNTY - It is another year where we take the time honour the veterans that have fought for our freedoms.
Many ceremonies will be taking place across the country, and it is no different for Oxford County. You can look below and find out where a service is taking place that is closest to you.
The Town of Ingersoll will have its service at 10:30 a.m. taking place at the Ingersoll Town Hall in front of the Cenotaph, while the Town of Tillsonburg begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Cenotaph on Broadway Street. The City of Woodstock will be gathering at the Victoria Park Cenotaph at 10:30 a.m.
Elsewhere, the Township of Norwich is meeting on the front lawn of Emily Stowe Public School at 11:00 a.m., in Plattsville there will be a gathering at the gates of Plattsville Park beginning at 11:00 a.m., and Princeton residents will meet at the Cenotaph in the Park at 10:15 a.m.
Continuing with the services, Drumbo School is hosting a ceremony at 11:00 a.m., while Chesterfield Cemetery in Bright will be holding a service at 10:00 a.m. For Beachville, the service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Cenotaph, and in Embro you can visit Knox United Church and Memorial Park Cenotaph at 10:45 a.m.
Heart FM will also have special programming starting at 10:52 a.m. It will include stories from veterans, In Flanders Fields, the Last Post, and the moment of silence at 11:00 a.m.
