Former Woodstock City Councillor Jim Northcott has passed away at the age of 74.
WOODSTOCK - A former Woodstock City Councillor has passed away.
Jim Northcott passed away on Saturday at the age of 74. He served as a Woodstock City councillor for 8 years and was well known in the community. Northcott was always a prominent member of the community who was never afraid to volunteer his time. He was known to always help out with projects from the Rotary Clubs, VON and Knights of the Columbus. He was also a husband and a father.
A visitation for Northcott is happening today from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Smith Leroy Funeral Home on Wellington Street. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Victoria Order of Nurses Oxford.

It has been a tragic month for the City of Woodstock. Former City and County Councillor Dave Nadalin also passed away in February.
Current City Councillor Ron Frasier also recently lost his wife, Elaina Rose Taylor after a courageous battle with ALS.
