WOODSTOCK - A free baseball program is back in Woodstock for its fourth year.
The Woodstock Police Service will be hosting the six-week Kids & Cops Baseball program this summer, which will teach youth the fundamentals of baseball. Community Service Officer, Shaylyn Jackson says it is a joint effort.
"We partner with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County, and Oxford County Housing to provide baseball programming to youth who may not have the opportunity to play organized sports."
The program is open to kids aged 8 to 12, and Jackson says that a registration form will have to be filled out.
"We do have registrations open right now, there are very limited spots available. This registration is set up on a first come first served basis."
Registration will close on Friday, June 21st, and you can submit your child's completed forms by email or by delivering them in person to the Woodstock Police Service headquarters between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A waitlist will be created once all of the registration spots are filled.
The program will take place at Southside Park. For all the information regarding the program, you can visit the Woodstock Police website.
