East-Zorra Tavistock will keep current Deputy Mayor Maureen Ralph.
EAST-ZORRA TAVISTOCK- Maureen Ralph has been acclaimed as the Deputy Mayor for East-Zorra Tavistock.
Ralph, who was acclaimed once before, highlights what she is looking forward to for the next four years with council. "Overall, I think just being able to influence change that will benefit the community and be able to ensure sustainability -- making a positive difference in the quality of life in our community. Those are some of the things I look forward to being able to continue on with."
Ralph says there's always two ways to approach an acclamation; "it's hopefully an endorsement of the work that I've done but I guess it can also be looked at that maybe nobody else wanted to do the job."
The long time resident of EZT says she is "thrilled and excited to be able have the prospect of carrying on the role for the next four years." Ralph says she was encouraged and had support to move up to the next level but is looking forward to serving as the Deputy Mayor for the next term.
