Southside Park in Woodstock is one area of concern for flooding according to the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority. With a rainfall warning in effect for our area, the UTRCA are urging people to stay away from streams and rivers as water levels rise due to rain and melting snow. According to Environment Canada, we could potentially receive 25 mm of rain in our region today. The UTRCA are not anticipating any serious flooding but say water will spread outside of stream banks at low floodplain locations.
