Tillsonburg's commercial industry is booming. The town's quarterly results for development are in and they're up. Tillsonburg's Chief Building Official Geno Vanhaelewyn says they don't normally see this many major businesses move in. "We've had an increase in the commercial revenues which means there's more permits in the commercial areas than normal. That's a good sign. One of the main items there were permits related to Walmart, Eichenberg Motors, Goodwill, Moffatt and Powell. So several of them are permits that we don't typically see in those value ranges within a year," said Vanhaelewyn. The town's residential development isn't seeing the same influx. The housing area is level with previous years. But Vanhaelewyn says the curve is moving in the right direction.
