The Woodstock Major Novice Navy Vets take it all in St Catharines over the weekend.
The Ontario Alliance Novice Championships belong to Woodstock after a stellar weekend in St Catharines.
The Woodstock Major Novice Navy Vets went undefeated at the provincial championships this past weekend.
The boys first took the East Central Alliance Novice on March 31st after downing the Brantford 99er's 4-2 to take the series 2-games-to-1.
The Vets then moved on to the championships where they faced the 99er's again for game one Friday which ended up in a 1-1 tie. Ben Symons had the lone goal for Woodstock.
The second game Friday had the Woodstock boys up against London where the Vets clobbered the Bandits 7-1. Navy Vets goal scorers were Brady Carne (2), Logan van den Akker (2), Connor Stanley, Luke Stratton, Ryan Copeland, Ben Symons.
On Saturday the Vets were on the ice against the Oakridge Aeros where they captured a dominating 8-2 victory. Netting goals were Ryan Copeland (2), Connor Stanley (2), Carson Horne, Logan van den Akker, Ben Symons, Nolan Brett.
The boys ended up 2nd seed just behind the Brantford 99er's putting them up against the Oakridge crew for the semi-finals where they once again defeated the Aeros, this time 12-2. On the score this time were Ben Symons (3), Luke Stratton (2), Logan van den Akker (2), Zach Allison, Ryan Copeland, Carson Horne, Nolan Brett, Brady Carne.
