Daily case numbers are back under 3,000 as the Province is reporting 2,716 new cases this morning and 3,110 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,716 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 495,019.
The Province confirmed 19 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,327. Another 3,110 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 454,701.
The province completed 27,175 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,632 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 828 people in the ICU and 547 in the ICU on a ventilator. The hospital numbers are likely higher with around 10 percent of hospitals not submitting data from the weekend. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 807 new cases in Toronto, 707 in Peel, 294 in York Region, 168 in Durham and 106 in Hamilton.
