There's been another power failure in Tavistock. Power was restored between 3 and 4PM across the village, which has been out for the most parts since 2:30AM Thursday. However, another equipment failure has plunged the village into darkness once again. Erie Thames Power President Chris White says they're still analysing what's going on. "There seems to be a failure in the 4kV switch gear. There seems to be something going on there which is all interconnected with the system. So they're picking up the circuit to get half the town back on and then analyze what's going on. I don't have much to tell you than that right now...there should be some fairly simple fixes." The outages started early Thursday morning when a hydro substation took a direct lightning strike. Since then, the power has been on in Tavistock for a total of about 6-hours.
