City Police handing out prizes to youth following the rules
WOODSTOCK - City Police are out ticketing area youth.
Much like the OPP's Operation Freeze, Woodstock Police are running a positive ticketing program of their own with the help of local businesses and organizations.
When officers see kids wearing bicycle helmets, picking up trash, or other good deeds the kids could receive a gift certificate, passes to an event or discounts at local establishments.
The program is meant to reinforce positive behaviour in youth by offering something of value.
