City Police kept busy Sunday and Monday
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police were kept busy over the past two days responding to a pair of impaireds and a break and enter on Springbank.
Shortly after 3 Sunday morning officers were called about an erratic driver on Cedar Street in the city which had hit a snow bank and then crossed over the centre line.
As a result, 32 year old Diane Resendes of Brantford is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more than the legal limit.
Then just after ten Monday morning, Police were called again about a suspected drunk driver, this time on Devonshire. Officers spotted the vehicle pulled off to to the side of the road and after speaking with the driver, determined he had been drinking alcohol.
As a result of the investigation a 75 year old Woodstock male, who police have not named, had his driver's licence suspended for three days and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
Then around 4:00 Monday afternoon, City Police responded to report of a break and enter that occurred at a Springbank Avenue North residence. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the home through an unlocked door into the garage. The suspect made his way through the home and found jewelry in an upstairs bedroom before leaving through the front door.
