Briefs include multiple thefts in Woodstock, mischief, an employee and police officer assaulted by a shoplifter in Delhi and a sophisticated truck theft in Waterford.
WOODSTOCK - Two people were arrested Friday night in Woodstock after police say they were breaking into vehicles.
Officers were called to Bain Street about reports of a man and woman using a crowbar to break into vehicles. Officers found them a short while later on Duke Street. The couple ran away but were no match for WPS officers.
A 33 year old woman and a 37 year old man, both from Woodstock were charged with mischief. The man was also charged with possession of methamphetamine.

WOODSTOCK - Copper wire was stolen from a camper parked on Longworth Lane in Woodstock over the weekend.
Force was used to get inside and the trailer was damaged. Anyone with information is asked to contact Woodstock Police or Crime Stoppers.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are investigating after a catalytic converter was stolen from a white GMC Savana in the area of Ingersoll Ave and Main Street.
The theft happened sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning. Catalytic converters are being stolen all across the region right now and sold for scrap metal.

DELHI - An employee was assaulted trying to stop a shoplifter in Delhi on Saturday around lunch time.
Police were called to the business on Main Street after several items were stolen from a business. When the shoplifted was confronted by an employee, the employee was assaulted and a good Samaritan came in to help.
Officers arrived on scene and were assaulted by the suspect as well. The 20 year old from Norfolk County was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, assault with intent to resist arrest and assault a peace officer.

WATERFORD - A custom blue 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck was stolen from a home on Slaught Street in Waterford.
Police say three men visited the home around 3:50 am on Monday and pushed the pickup out of the driveway of the residence. A second vehicle was then used to tow the stolen truck away.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police investigating several thefts from the weekend.
A four foot concrete dragon has been stolen from a front lawn on Victoria Street North.
The theft happened sometime between 11 pm Saturday and 11 am on Sunday.
Meanwhile a dark green men's Giant Mountain Bike was from a home on Dundas Street near Kent.
Also three packages were taken from the front porch of a home on Burtch Street near main.
