It was a busy weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets, the Tavistock Braves, the Norwich Merchants, and the Thamesford Trojans.
PJHL - It was a busy weekend in local Junior C hockey action.
The Woodstock Navy Vets celebrated a 5-2 win over the Merchants in Norwich Friday night but suffered a 5-4 loss to the New Hamburg Firebirds at Southwood Arena Saturday night.
The Merchants on the other hand went on to beat the Mounties in Paris on Saturday with a final score of 4-1.
The Tavistock Braves demolished the Mounties 11-0 Friday night and fell to the Wellesley Applejacks 4-2 on Saturday.
Looking at the Doherty Division standings, the Firebirds are in first place, followed by the Braves in second place and the Vets are tied with the Merchants for third place.
Meanwhile the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans suffered a 3-1 loss to the Petrolia Flyers on Friday. Thamesford is now leading the division.
