The Navy Vets, the Merchants, the Braves and the Trojans all celebrated wins over the weekend.
PJHL - It was a great weekend for Oxford County's Junior C hockey teams.
The Woodstock Navy Vets crushed the Paris Titans 5-2 at Southwood Arena on Friday with Connor Stanley, Charley Barnes, Logan Pace-Roth, Brodie Kearns, and Davin Gray scoring for the Vets. Gray's goal was on an empty net.
Woodstock went on to beat the Hespeler Shamrocks 7-5 yesterday, with Nolan Brett scoring his third hat trick of his career. Davin Gray also reached 150 career points with four assists.
Meanwhile, the Norwich Merchants beat the Dorchester Dolphins 3-2 in a shootout on Friday before they doubled the Titans 4-2 on Saturday.
The Tavistock Braves narrowly beat the Wellesley Applejacks 7-6 in a shootout on Saturday.
The Merchants are currently in first place in the Doherty Division standings with 12 points. The Navy Navy Vets are tied for second place with the New Hamburg Firebirds with 10 points, and they're followed by the Applejacks with nine points. The Braves sit in fourth place with eight points, the Shamrocks and the Dolphins are tied in fifth place with four points, and the Titans are in sixth place with two points so far.
Over in the Yeck Divison, the Thamesford Trojans suffered a 4-1 loss to the Mount Brydges Bulldogs on Friday, but they bounced back with an 8-3 victory over the Lucan Irish on Saturday.
The Trojans are currently in third place in the Yeck Division standings with 10 points. They're behind the Petrolia Flyers with 13 points and the Exeter Hawks with 15 points.
