The Woodstock Navy Vets beat the Wellesley Applejacks 5-3 on Friday, but fell to the Norwich Merchants 2-1 yesterday.
PJHL - It was a mixed weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets.
They celebrated a 5-3 win over the Wellesley Applejacks on Friday. Nolan Burnside scored his first goal as a Vet and added 2 assists to help secure the win for Woodstock.
The Vets also suffered a 2-1 loss to the Merchants in Norwich yesterday. Rhylan Warford scored with just over three minutes left in order to put Woodstock on the scoreboard.
The Merchants fell to the New Hamburg Firebirds 5-2 on Friday.
The Tavistock Braves doubled the Paris Titans 4-2 on Friday and suffered a 4-3 loss to the Firebirds on Saturday.
Looking at the Doherty Division standings, the Vets are in first place with 43 points. They're followed by the Firebirds with 39 points, the Braves with 30 points, and the Merchants with 23 points.
In the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans fell to the Mount Brydges Bulldogs 2-1 on Frida but crushed the Lucan Irish 4-1 on Saturday.
Thamesford is currently sitting in fourth place in the division standings with 36 points, behind the Dorchester Dolphins with 39 points, the Bulldogs with 40 points, and the North Middlesex Stars with 42 points.
