WPS and UTRCA working together to keep the waters in Woodstock safe.
WOODSTOCK -- The Woodstock Police teamed up with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority to patrol the waters of Pittock over the long weekend.
On Sunday, eight vessels and fifteen boaters/anglers were checked as part of the patrol.
One boater received a warning for not having personal floatation devices or lifejackets of appropriate size for each person onboard.
The WPS, UTRCA and Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources will be conducting marine patrol throughout the season and ask boaters to make sure they have safety equipment onboard before hitting the water.
