Paramedic Services Week in Oxford County wraps up with a Stuff the Ambulance Fundraiser at Tremblett's Independent in Ingersoll.
High school students are getting and up close and personal look at what paramedics do.
Primary Care Paramedic Ryan Orton says during Paramedic Services Week Oxford County Paramedics have been going to high schools and showing students some of the tricks of the trade.
"This week is Paramedic Services Week so we're trying to get out into the community and show people what we do. Especially for the high school students who are looking at a career in the health field or want to be a paramedic this is a perfect opportunity for them to learn a little."
Primary Care Paramedic Chantelle Goyetche says they brought out some of their equipment to show the students.
"So we're showing them our monitors, all the medications we carry - just everything that we can do because in the past people think just of ambulance drivers and we've definitely evolved from there."
The week caps off with the Stuff an Ambulance event at Tremblett's Independent Grocer in Ingersoll.
