The title has been picked for Oxford Reads. Residents can pick up Two Worlds: A Coach’s Journey from the Reserve to the NHL and Back by Ted Nolan.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford Reads is back for its 8th year and has chosen its title.
This year, residents will be able to read Life in Two Worlds: A Coach’s Journey from the Reserve to the NHL and Back by Ted Nolan. The book is a deeply personal memoir that chronicles Nolan's life, from his upbringing on the Garden River First Nation to his path in professional hockey and the challenges he faced as an Indigenous person navigating life in his community and the world of professional sports. His story shows his perseverance, cultural identity, and the importance of staying true to your roots.
Copies of the book are available through Oxford County Library and Woodstock Public Library in print, e-book, and audiobook formats, with book club sets also available for group discussions. The community-wide book club encourages dialogue and celebrates Canadian literature.
