A suspect has been caught stealing from Norfolk County cemeteries.
UPDATE 3 (August 28th @ 5:50 a.m.) - The Norfolk OPP has posted a video on social media, showing the stolen items that have been recovered in this case.

UPDATE 2 (August 21st @ 4:05 pm) - Norfolk County OPP have laid additional charges from a theft at a cemetery.
On Tuesday, officers arrested a 39-year-old Oxford County man in relation to the theft at Waterford Greenwood Cemetery.
Then yesterday a search warrant was executed on the suspects vehicle, which had an urn containing human remains.
The 39-year-old is now also facing charges of indignity to a dead body, trafficking in stolen goods over 5-thousand dollars, and possession of property obtained by crime over 5-thousand dollars.

UPDATE (August 20th @ 11:30am) - The Norfolk OPP have arrested a 39-year-old man from Oxford County following a theft at the Waterford Greenwood Cemetery.
While conducting a proactive patrol yesterday, an officer with the Norfolk OPP spotted unusual activity from a man inside the cemetery.
The vehicle was located on Wellington Road in Waterford with stolen items inside, containing brass. The suspect was arrested without incident on Thompson Road East.
He is now facing 3 charges that include mischief (destroys or damages property), possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 in Canada, and theft under $5,000.

NORFOLK - A Norfolk OPP officer was able to catch a suspect after multiple reports of thefts from area cemeteries.
Police say that since last week, the thief has been removing items containing brass, & bronze. Items stolen have been nameplates, screws, and in one case, an urn.
Cemeteries targeted were the Bayview Cemetery in Port Rowan, Sacred Heart Cemetery in Langton, Port Dover Cemetery, and Delhi Cemetery
The suspect was taken into custody following an incident at the Waterford Greenwood Cemetery today.
