It's a contract worth $1,497,046 with Orbis Canada Limited.
OXFORD COUNTY - A green bin contract will be presented to Oxford County Council.
It's worth $1,497,046 (including HST) and it's with Orbis Canada Limited. If council signs off on it, Orbis Canada would supply and distribute a 45 litre green bin and one kitchen container to every household receiving municipal garbage collection.
People in Woodstock and South-West Oxford would get theirs this fall, before their organics collection begins early next year. The rest of the county will have organics collection starting in May 2027, so they would receive theirs a few months prior.
You can read the full report in the Oxford County Council agenda online here.
The council meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow and it will be livestreamed on the county's website.
