The grant program helps create more than 10,700 full-time jobs in Ontario.
OXFORD COUNTY - A grant is going to two local non-profit organizations to help promote and expand opportunities for the youth.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is funding the grants through the Grow program, which is going towards Big Brothers Big Sisters and Community Living Tillsonburg.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is receiving $345,700 over three years, which is expanding a county-wide youth leadership mentoring program that helps empower high school students and inspires younger children to become future leaders.
Community Living Tillsonburg is getting $412,000 over three years to expand a program that delivers strong job outcomes for people with developmental disabilities through enhanced training, AI-supported job matching, outreach, transportation, and school-to-work pathways.
The investment is helping non-profits build on the successes of local initiatives, empowers them to reach more people, deepen their impact, and strengthen community life in the County.
Through the OTF granting programs, Ontario has invested more than $857 million in over 7,700 projects since 2018. The investments helped create more than 10,700 full-time jobs and generate over $1.3 billion in economic benefits for communities all over the province.
