Brant OPP have released photos of a suspicious pickup truck that was involved in an attempted break and enter in Burford.
BURFORD - Brant OPP are on the lookout for a suspicious pickup truck in Burford.
Officers say three people inside the truck tried to break into a locked storage unit on Maple Ave North Friday afternoon. The homeowner scared them away, but they did manage to take a 12v tractor trailer battery valued at about $200.
Constable Ken Johnston tells us about their getaway vehicle.
"It's blue Dodge Dakota and it has a very distinct marking on the side and a wooden box in the back which is also very identifiable."
Johnston adds anyone with information should contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
"Don't approach these people. Let the police handle the investigation, just make sure you contact us if you recognize the vehicle and/or persons involved."
You can contact OPP by calling 1-888-310-1122 and Crime Stoppers online or at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
