A man with ties to Oxford County and on the run from the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement has been located in Thunder Bay.
A man with ties to Oxford County and on the run from the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement has been located in Thunder Bay.
Police had been searching for Douglas Archer since Sunday. Oxford County residents were given the heads up as the man was known to frequent the area. Archer had been serving a 3 year sentence for breach of long term supervision order when he skipped out on his parole officer and his whereabouts became unknown. Previously he had done serious time for Arson with Disregard to Human Life, 10 counts of Arson Causing Damage to Property, criminal harassment, and two counts of Mischief under 5 thousand dollars, among other crimes. The Provincial ROPE Squad would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation.
