Police have closed 19th Line between Road 66 and 17th Line for further investigation.
UPDATE: The victim of the crash has been identified as 21 year old Ty Waller of Ingersoll.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County OPP is investigating an incident after a fatal crash involved a 21-year old man from Ingersoll in Zorra Township.
Police, EMS and the Zorra Fire Department responded to the accident on November 24 at approximately 11:00 p.m near 19th Line.
A grey coloured vehicle was travelling northbound on 19th Line when the driver left the roadway and entered a ditch. The car hit a hydro pole and then collided with a tree, ejecting one male passenger from the back seat.
Firefighters were able to free the driver and passenger from the vehicle and all three men were taken to a local hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead. Both passengers remain in the hospital with undetermined injuries.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators have closed 19th Line between Road 66 and 17th Line for the next few hours to allow for further investigation.
Speed and alcohol are being considered as contributing factors. The investigation is ongoing.
