Oxford OPP are asking drivers to slow down in rural areas. During December, police say they laid 54 charges in Blandford-Blenheim Township alone. Police were out enforcing the rules of the road in the villages of Bright and Washington, after receiving complains about speeding cars. Police say they laid 29 charges in the villages, and that 11 of them were against drivers who reside in the township. 26 charges were for speeding and 3 for disobeying a stop sign.
