BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - A 54 year old man from Toronto was caught drinking and driving and racing in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
Police say they pulled over an Infinity M45 car doing 142 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone early this morning on Highway 2. The man also failed a roadside breath test and was taken to the Oxford OPP Detachment.
He was charged with racing and impaired driving. His vehicle was seized for 7 days and his driver's licence was suspended for 90 days.

NORFOLK COUNTY - A senior citizen from Norfolk County has lost $152,000 after falling victim to a Sweepstakes Lottery scam.
Police say the senior was told over the phone that they had won $24,000,000 dollars from a US lottery. They were told that they need to wire money to San Bernadino, California and Cape May in New Jersey, in order to cover the taxes for the grand prize.
The senior wired the money in several payments and eventually lost $152,000.
The OPP is warning everyone that if you should receive a call from an unknown person indicating that you have won any type of lottery or new vehicle, to please hang up the phone, this is a scam. Constable Ed Sanchuk says you don't want to become a statistic.
"Don't become a statistic. Fraud is a multi-billion dollar enterprise that will only stop when the scammers stop getting money, banking information or personal information. The best thing to do is to simply hang up the phone."
If you suspect you may be a target, or have already sent funds, be assured you are not alone.
