WOODSTOCK - A wine bottle drive will be held inside Woodstock's Foodland this weekend.
It will be located in the store's wine rack, with proceeds going towards Operation Sharing.
President Marilyn Schmiedl says it's the first time the organization is holding this initiative.
"Anything that's going to help raise funds for Operation Sharing is very appreciated and if any organization wants to help, we're greatly appreciative and willing to help out in any way we can when people want to help us."
The initiative is being organized by wine rack staff and it is in support of Operation Sharing.
Schmiedl says she will also be helping out that day, along with staff from other wine rack locations in town.
"Both wine racks, especially the wine rack at Foodland, is really doing a lot to help promote this so hopefully it's a great success."
She says whatever people can donate is appreciated. She adds cash donations are also accepted if you do not have any bottles.
It goes from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday.
