Woodstock Police have charged one of their own after a crash in the friendly city last month.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police had charge one of their own after a crash on on Norwich Ave.
Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Juliana Drive and Norwich on Friday May 20th. The officer was stopped at Norwich Ave waiting to make a left hand turn at the red light. At that time he received a call about a man with a weapon at a local business.
The officer activated his lights and ran the intersection, slamming into another vehicle. The crash caused about $3,000 in damage to both vehicles and nobody was injured.
After investigating Police charged the Constable who is a 7 year veteran of the force under section 144(18) of the Highway Traffic Act for Red Light – Proceed Before Green.
