The Oxford Community Foundation is looking for applicants who will help in the food sector, as grant funding is available.
OXFORD COUNTY - Grant Funding is being made available in Oxford County.
The Oxford Community Foundation says there is $36,800 available to support capital-related initiatives that strengthen food security programs and promote dignity while building individual and community capacity across the County.
Grants are intended to support initiatives aligned with one or more of the following focus areas: food literacy, school and other food nutrition programs, and sustainable initiatives beyond conventional Food Bank models. Louise Wardrop, Executive Director of the Oxford Community Foundation, speaks to the meaning of the funding.
"This funding represents more than a financial contribution—it represents lives changed, and communities strengthened. Through the Maple Leaf Community Fund, Harvey and Erma Beaty’s legacy is helping families access healthy food with dignity, supporting programs that build skills and self-sufficiency, and creating lasting pathways to food security across Oxford County."
Anyone interested in applying can do so until April 10th and can find more information on the Oxford Community Foundation's website.
