Norwich Township releases the drawings for their new administration building slated for construction starting in the spring
The drawings for the new Norwich Administration building have been released to the public.
The building, which is expected to break ground in early spring, will also have soccer fields in the back for the community to use.
Mayor Don Doan says they have outgrown their current building in Otterville.
Doan says while they have money set aside for the building, the final cost is still up in the air.
"At the end of the day we hope it's going to be pretty nearly free because we bought 23 acres of land. We will sell off lots. The site we know will be free and we hope that a lot of the costs of the building developments will reduce that down and we hope will have a very very inexpensive building at the end of the day. "
"It's not a huge building. It's a pad, there's no basement in it. We're going to be able to light the building without turning the lights on a lot of the time. We are going to have soccer fields connected with it. There will be meeting rooms in there that the public can make use of if they wish to."
The new building is slated to go in east of Tim Horton's on Airport Road. Doan hopes construction will be complete before the October elections.
