Many charges were laid after a single-vehicle collision on Highway 3 in Delhi.
DELHI - It was not a good night for one Haldimand County man.
This past Friday just before 7:40 p.m. the Norfolk OPP responded to and investigated a single-vehicle crash on Highway 3 in Delhi. It was determined that the driver left the scene on foot, and officers found him shortly after.
As a result, the 25-year-old was arrested and is facing a long list of charges. The charges include operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, dangerous operation, failure to remain, taking a motor vehicle without consent, having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available, two counts of assaulting a Peace Officer, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and mischief under $5,000.
The accused was detained in custody and is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe.
