Multiple charges have been laid after Norfolk OPP responded to a collision, which uncovered intimate partner violence.
DELHI - The Norfolk OPP have charged one person as a result of intimate partner violence.
Yesterday just after 6:50 p.m. officers and other first responders attended a single-vehicle rollover on Pinegrove Road in Delhi. During the investigation, it was determined the two people in the vehicle were involved in an altercation, which resulted in one of them being physically assaulted and having property damaged. Another physical assault happened before the collision and there were minor injuries reported.
As a result, a 27-year-old from Norfolk County is facing two counts of spousal assault, one count of domestic mischief, one count of dangerous operation, one count of operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and one count of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
The accused will appear in a Simcoe Courtroom at a later date.
