Graffiti at Waterford Public School, 70 speeding tickets and a dog owner charged after a nasty biting incident.

WATERFORD - Norfolk OPP are investigating after a school in Waterford was the target of mischief.

Police say someone spray painted the Waterford Public School over the weekend. The school building and surrounding pavement were tagged with the graffiti.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying those responsible. If anyone has any information or can assist in identifying the suspects, you are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

NORFOLK COUNTY - If you got a speeding ticket in Norfolk County last week, don't worry you are not alone.

Police were conducting their Zero Tolerance, Zero Collisions campaign last Wednesday. They run these campaigns every month in an effort to address high collision areas throughout Norfolk County.

On Wednesday police were targeting Highway 3 between Simcoe and Delhi, Brantford Road between Delhi and Brant County and Cockshutt Road between Port Dover and Brant County. In one day police handed out 70 speeding tickets. They also charged 3 people with no insurance, 1 for distracted driving, 3 for failing to stop at a stop sign and 4 for not wearing their seatbelt.

Constable Ed Sanchuk tells Heart FM that police will continue with the Zero Tolerance, Zero Collisions campaign every month.

"The Norfolk County OPP will continue with the Zero Tolerance - Zero Collisions campaign which will be conducted every month with the ultimate goal of saving lives and reducing collisions. Drivers putting their safety and innocent motorists at risk can expect to be charged."

SIMCOE - Norfolk OPP have charged a dog owner after a man was bit on the Lynn Valley Trail in Simcoe.

Police say the 28 year old man was walking his dog on Friday afternoon. During the walk, the dog bit a 60 year old man. The victim suffered injuries to his arm, leg and torso and had to to go the hospital to get checked out.

The dog owner was charged with permit dog to be at large contrary to the Norfolk County By-law.
