Norfolk OPP briefs include a catalytic converter theft in Waterford, an ATV destroying two lawns in Delhi and a dog left in a hot vehicle in Delhi.
DELHI - The Norfolk OPP is once again reminding the public about the dangers of leaving pets in hot vehicles.
Officers responded to a report of a dog left alone in a vehicle on Alice Street in Waterford shortly before 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning, while the owner was shopping in a nearby store. The vehicle was gone by the time officers arrived on scene.
The OPP say it is much safer to leave your pet at home with proper food, shelter and water if you have to go anywhere. Dogs and cats pant to cool themselves off, which is impossible when they are stuck in a hot vehicle.
You could face a $490 fine if you're caught leaving your pet alone in a vehicle.

DELHI - The Norfolk OPP is investigating after an ATV destroyed two residential lawns on Church Street East in Delhi.
Police believe the culprit drove through the area early Sunday morning.
---
WATERFORD - A catalytic converter has also been reported stolen from a dump truck in Waterford.
The Norfolk OPP say the truck was parked on a West Church Street property when the theft happened sometime between Friday June 10th and Monday June 13th.
Anyone with information in regards to any of these cases should call the Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
