NHL greats including Rick Vaive, Al Lafrate and Marcel Dionne will be at the Brant Sports Complex for the Stars of Brant Hockey Tournament.
PARIS - Brant County plays host to some former NHL stars this weekend to keep the Canada 150 party going.
The Brant Sports Complex near Paris will be the site of another massive celebration on Saturday June 22nd from 12pm until 8 pm.
Kids can will be able to Touch a Truck, get their faces painted and meet some members of the Paw Patrol. Free corn on the cob will also be served.
Special Events Coordinator for the County Dani McComb says it wouldn't be a Canada 150 celebration without the good ol' hockey game.
"We are going to be having NHL games throughout the day with two public skates and NHL alumni autograph signing sessions."
Brant Tourism Development Supervisor Russell Press adds there will be something for everyone.
"You can come as early as 12pm and meet the NHL players that are here as well as take part in heritage displays and a bunch of great programming going on. Our program team for the county has programs for kids, for adults, for retirees you name it there will be great things going on they can attend."
Some of the NHL stars hitting the ice include Rick Vaive, Al Lafrate, Mike Krushelnyski, Brent Gretzky, Bryan Muir, Todd Harvey, Lou Franceschetti, Jay Wells, Marcel Dionne.
McComb knows the local heroes waiting to hit the ice are gearing up for some top notch games.
"Teams have been put together from our Paris Mounties, our St George Ravens, our Brant County OPP, and our Brant County Fire Department. So they'll be playing with the NHL in a couple of matches throughout the day."
Admission is free.
