Canadian airlines now required to reimburse customers for cancelled or delayed flights within 30 days for passengers who don't get a new flight within 48 hours of the original ticket.
New refund requirements for Canadian airlines take effect today.
Airlines are now required to provide a full refund for cancellations and delays if passengers are not placed on a new flight within 48 hours.
This includes for reasons beyong the airline's control.
As well as a cash refund, customers may also be reimbursed with credit or travel vouchers.
Airlines will be required to pay up within 30 days.
The requirements will apply to all flights from and within Canada, including connecting flights.
