Ingersoll's OPP is getting a new Detachment Commander. Staff Sgt. Tim Clarke is assuming his new position effective Monday replacing retired OPP Inspector Jack Goodlet. Clarke says his responsibilities will include finding a replacement for his position as Staff Sgt. who will carry out operations at the Detachment, becoming more involved in the Police Service Board meetings, area councils and be available at community events. Clarke spoke with Heart-FM in December during OPP Constable Dennis Harwood's retirement party "I went through the promotion, the interview and presentation was successful in the competition and I certainly look forward to the challenges that lie ahead as Detachment Commander".
