Celebrate Canada day a little differently this year at the 81st Embro Highland Games.
EMBRO - Have some family fun with a Scottish flair at Embro's 81st annual Highland Games next month.
This year the games will be on July 1st at Canada's Outdoor Park and gets underway at 8:00 a.m. with the highland dance registration.
Zorra Caledonian Society President, Gord MacKay explains why they have chose to move locations.
"The new location offers us a lot more space and a lot better parking closer to the grounds. We were running short of space at the old location so this is a big plus. There's six buildings that we are able to use which gives us lots of space."
MacKay talks about just a fraction of what kinds of things will be going on throughout the day.
"This year the tug of war will be back again and we're going to have rugby and a church service. Then we will have dogs on parade along with the highland dancing, the massed band and the individual dancing."
Admission is $20.00 for adults, $10.00 for 18 and under and kids 12 and under are free. For more information and for the full schedule visit their website.
